Dr. Brett Hofmann, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Brett Hofmann graduated from the University of the Pacific Dental School, San Francisco, in 1997. After completing an Advanced Clinical Education (ACE) general residency program, he practiced for six years as an associate dentist in San Mateo, California. In January of 2005, he proudly announced the opening of his solo dental practice in Belmont, California.
Dr. Hofmann's background is a journey westward that defines his diverse character. He was born and raised in Maryland, went to high school near Chicago, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis before attending dental school. When he is not on the office, he enjoys spending time with family, surfing, snowboarding and playing guitar. He is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the California Dental Association (CDA).
Nicole
Registered Dental Assistant
Nicole has been a dedicated member of the dental field since 1990, bringing decades of experience, reliability, and patient-centered care to Brett Hofmann, DDS. As a Registered Dental Assistant, she plays an essential role in the daily flow of the practice, supporting both patients and providers with skill and attentiveness.
Her responsibilities include chairside assisting, instrument setup, radiographs (x-rays), and maintaining the highest standards of sterilization and infection control in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Above all, Nicole prioritizes patient comfort and care, helping ensure that each visit is as smooth, safe, and positive as possible.
Nicole received her formal training at the College of San Mateo and was drawn to dentistry at a young age. As a teenager, she admired her own dentist and the personal, compassionate interactions she experienced as a patient. Inspired by that example, she chose a career where she could help others feel supported and confident during their dental visits.
One of Nicole’s favorite aspects of her role is being part of a supportive and dedicated dental team. She values collaboration and takes pride in contributing to an environment where teamwork and mutual respect are central to patient care.
Outside of the office, Nicole enjoys spending time outdoors exploring local trails and taking urban hikes. In her downtime, she also loves relaxing with her favorite pastime, watching movies.
A fun fact many people don’t know about her is that she has a fraternal twin.
Linda Nagy
Office Manager
Linda has been an essential part of the dental field since 1978 and currently serves as the office manager at Brett Hofmann, DDS. With decades of experience and a genuine love for working with people, she plays a vital role in ensuring that both patients and staff feel welcomed, supported, and well cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
Linda’s responsibilities span all aspects of front-office operations, including patient check-in, insurance coordination, accounting, scheduling, and billing. She is often the first friendly face patients see and takes pride in acknowledging each person warmly, listening attentively to their dental needs, and helping coordinate care with the clinical team. She also supports staff members throughout the day, stepping in wherever needed to keep the office running smoothly.
Her favorite part of her role is building personal connections with patients. Linda enjoys getting to know them beyond dentistry, sharing laughs, hearing about family milestones, and admiring photos from weddings, new babies, and vacations. These relationships help create a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere that patients truly appreciate.
Linda received her education at the College of San Mateo and chose the dental field because of her natural enjoyment of working with people.
Outside the office, she enjoys walking, camping, watching movies, and cat sitting. One of her favorite hobbies is bowling, and she loves baking treats for her neighbors.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Linda is an experienced dental hygienist at Brett Hofmann, DDS, bringing nearly five decades of insight, curiosity, and compassion to patient care. She began working in dentistry in 1976, while still a student, and has continued to build a career grounded in lifelong learning and thoughtful clinical practice. Linda completed her education at the University of Pennsylvania in 1978 and later continued her training at Thomas Jefferson University in 1986.
Linda is known for her holistic approach to dental hygiene. She enjoys “connecting the dots” between a patient’s medical history, habits, genetics, and oral findings, believing that every mouth tells a story. This perspective allows her to provide personalized care that respects the individuality of each patient.
Since joining Dr. Hofmann’s practice in 2018, Linda has greatly valued the exceptional team dynamic. She describes the office culture as one rooted in mutual respect, awareness, and generosity, where team members consistently support one another, an environment that contributes to long-term professional relationships and high-quality patient care.
Dental hygiene has proven to be an ideal profession for Linda, offering flexibility, meaningful patient interaction, and the satisfaction of accomplishing something tangible every hour. Outside the office, she is an avid reader with interests spanning fiction, science, history, art, architecture, and economics. She also enjoys exploring the Bay Area, hiking, and visiting flea markets and estate sales.
A unique aspect of Linda’s routine is her practice of packing lunches for unhoused individuals, often including food for their pets, while working in downtown San Francisco.
A fun fact: Linda is left-handed and trained herself to work proficiently with her right hand.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Eva is a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist and has been working in the dental field for more than 30 years. She began as a dental assistant in 1994 and became a dental hygienist in 2002. She earned her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene from SJVC Visalia and her Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from California State University, Hayward.
With over two decades of hygiene experience, Eva enjoys combining her clinical skills with personalized patient education. She is passionate about helping each patient improve and maintain their periodontal health while feeling comfortable and cared for. She is proud to work alongside a dental team that values compassion, quality, and genuine patient well-being.
Eva has always been drawn to a career that helps others, and she believes in the power of a healthy smile; in her words, “We all smile in the same language.”
Outside of work, she loves watching movies, reading, painting, playing the piano, and spending time with her family, including her dog and cat.
